South African Muslims have always considered themselves fortunate. And for good reason. Despite their distance from the Islamic homelands they have always been in touch with Islam. Allah has facilitated this connection by sending great scholars and luminaries to this southernmost tip of Africa.
We are proud to announce the coming of Habib Umar bin Hafiz to South Africa for a spiritual outreach programme from the 8th of April to the 16th. Habib hails from Tarim, Hadramout and is the grand-son of Rahmatan lilAlamin (the mercy to all the worlds). His Prophetic lineage is well documented and historically irrefutable. Habib is the founder and rector of Dar al-Mustafa, a world-renowned seminary for traditional Islamic education. Habib is also leader of the Ba’alawi social and spiritual order.
The Royal Institute of strategic studies in Amman, Jordan rank Habib as the 33rd most influential Muslim of our time. Habib Umar is and international dignitary having visited and exerted a positive spiritual influence on Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
